KDM Equipment got its start in 2010 in Bryant, South Dakota, rebuilding wrecked ag equipment. Today we're a full ag service and truck service shop on top of the rental business — still family-owned, with shops in Bryant and Lake Norden and the same approach we started with: fix it right, price it fair, and stand behind the work.
From hand tools to telehandlers
The rental side began as a small homeowner tool counter we bought from Hamlin Building Center here in Lake Norden. We've built it into a full equipment rental: telehandlers, boom lifts, scissor lifts, mini excavators, skid steers, tractors, forklifts, trailers, and a long list of attachments — plus everything down to the concrete tools and floor sanders for your weekend project. We're also an authorized Manitou and Gehl dealer, so we sell and service the same iron we rent.
We service what we rent
Every machine on our lot gets inspected before it goes out and again when it comes back, and our own techs handle the maintenance in between. When you rent from KDM, you're getting a machine a mechanic signed off on — not one that's been sitting in a row collecting dust. And if something goes wrong on your job, you're calling the shop that actually fixes these machines, not a call center. We run service trucks for on-site repairs — if a machine acts up, we come to you and get it back up and running.
We deliver across eastern South Dakota
Don't let the small-town address fool you — our trucks cover a lot of ground. We're a short haul from Watertown and Brookings, and we regularly deliver to the bigger towns across eastern South Dakota: Sioux Falls, Aberdeen, Huron, Madison, Mitchell, and everywhere in between. If your job site is within a couple hundred miles of Lake Norden, odds are we can get a machine to it. Call us and we'll figure out the haul.

We live here. We work on our neighbors' combines, semis, and pickups, and we rent them the machines for everything in between.
